Most of us have heard that painting a room is one of the easiest ways to transform a room. Very true, but there are also many other "easy techniques and quick fixes" to make your space pop. One of my favorite ways to really change a space is adding fabric panels. You can purchase panels at your local home decor or have them made using your favorite fabric. By adding a fabric panel to a space you can easily add a bold color, introduce patterns and it really gives the room a dramatic look.
Another one of my favorite ways to add some color and pattern to a room is the use of artwork. I love pictures and I think they really give a room personality. With so many discount home stores like Homegoods and Kirkland's, adding pictures no longer has to be expensive. I also love the following display using Rendi products. When shopping for artwork think about the colors you want to introduce to the room and then find pictures and paintings that feature those colors. When hanging art, don't always feel like it has to be one or two pictures hanging together. Think about groupings of pictures of different sizes and shapes. Adding a shelf to a grouping is also a great way to add some dimension and display some of your favorite pieces.
Perhaps one of the easiest and quickest way to add some pizazz to a room is to simply change out decorative pillows and add a throw over a chair or coach that introduces the color you love. Buy a small bit of paint and re-paint vases, frames, etc. to tie the color throughout the house. There is no need to over-do it. Just a few key pieces throughout the space will help make the area flow.
